With their traveling crowd behind them the Tigers never lost composure and felt supported until the end. In the 7th inning, needing three runs to keep their playoff hopes alive, San Fernando scored three times against pitchers senior Oscar Patron and junior Alexander Gomez. Senior Jairo Muniz gave the Tigers a much needed two run score to tie the game, when his hit brought home Lorenzo Mena and Isaac Cerpa. The crowd erupted, and the game went to extra innings. Left fielder Rudy Luna’s father, Robert Luna after the game, said he is proud of Rudy and hopes the team keeps up the great work!

Despite the efforts of the Tigers, they would fall short losing 4-3 to the Cougars, who scored in the bottom of the 8th inning. The Kennedy Cougars will face the Poly Parrots on Tuesday at 3:00 PM in the CIF LA City Section D1 semi-final playoffs. That match will be hosted at USC.
