Pope was a former Burbank Bulldog star and played collegiately at Chaminade University in Hawaii along with a brief stint in the NBA G-League. The Bears had a season to forget a year ago, but with renewed hope, this young team led by senior guard Chase Kardosh, and junior guard Jagger Topp could potentially help the team have an exciting season under first-year head coach Austin Pope. Other players to be on the lookout for include senior Omar Paynid, and sophomore Evan Baker who will be counted on to contribute this season. Both Payind and Baker are transfers from Burbank High School.  Burroughs will begin its season on Monday, November 14th when they host Arleta High School with tip-off slated for 7 PM.
