The Burbank Bulldogs begin a brand new season in 2024 after coming off a season where they went 13-10 overall and 5-5 in Pacific League play with an appearance in the CIF Southern Section Playoffs. They had an unexpected run in the playoffs where they played Crean Lutheran and lost in the quarterfinal round a year ago. Expectations are sky-high for the Bulldogs as they look to build off a winning season a year ago and to go places in the new season.

The coaching staff is led by longtime head coach Bob Hart who is currently the longest-tenured head coach in Burbank High Athletics, his coaching staff will feature Michael Machado (Forsh Head Coach), Nick Alfonso (Varsity Pitching Coach), Thomas Keller, Tony Ciccone, Jonathan Castaneda, and Josh Perez. Ciccone is currently the team’s longest-tenured assistant coach under Hart.

Players to be on the lookout this season are seniors Ryan Sebastian (pitcher/infielder), Bryant Johnson (Infielder) Miklo Roseyno (catcher/pitcher), and juniors Colby Bette (pitcher/catcher) and Robert Synder(Utility). Bette is also a returning recipient of the Pacific League Honorable Mention.

“The great thing about high school baseball is that you get to start all over every year,” said Bulldogs head coach Bob Hart. Hart spoke highly of Colby Bette when asked if he is going to have another stellar season but mentioned that he’s a special player in lots of ways. When asked about the senior class, he said that Miklo Roseyno, Bryant Johnson, and Ryan Sebastian are high-character guys.

Key dates on the calendar to be on the lookout for in the 2024 season are when Burbank kicks off the 2024 season with Village Christian at home on Saturday Night February 10th with the first pitch at 6:00 p.m. and when Pacific League play begins on Tuesday, February 27th against Arcadia.
