Birmingham falls out of #1 Spot in new MaxPreps City Section rankings
After losing a close game in their home opener Friday night to Royal, the Birmingham Patriots slipped two spots in the latest City Section rankings. Despite dropping to #3, the Patriots remain the highest ranked team in the San Fernando Valley.
Other notable movement in the polls came from West Valley rivals in Cleveland and Granada Hills. The Cavaliers moved up one spot to #6 after a quality home win against Kennedy. The Highlanders made the biggest jump of any San Fernado Valley team in the City Section rankings this week, moving six spots to #14 after a dominant performance on the road against Arleta.
Reseda had the biggest fall this week, moving down seven spots to #15 after suffering a defeat at home against Fairfax.
Other notable teams from the Valley still in the Top-25 include #8 Canoga Park, #16 El Camino Real and #17 Kennedy, who moved up one spot despite coming up short against Cleveland on the road.
