A turnaround for the Bulldogs is coming
After their fifth consecutive losing season a year ago, the Burbank Bulldogs are determined to have a turnaround season following a 4-24 season, which included a league record of 3-11 in Pacific League play. The Bulldogs will look to continue the rebuild in hopes of a season of growth and a return to contention in the Pacific League.

Morgan Bolger was promoted to program director in addition to her varsity head coaching duties. This fall will be her first full season in that role. Bolger worked under Coach Edgardo Geronimo as an assistant coach. Geronimo had the role of program director and was also in charge of the frosh team. He stepped down after one season. Bolger’s coaching staff will feature Choy Jimenez (Varsity assistant coach), Kristin Ritner (mom of former Bulldog volleyball player Addison Ritner/co-Junior Varsity Head Coach), Alex Misretta (Co-Junior Varsity Head Coach), Astoria Torres (Former Bulldog Volleyball Player/Co Frosh Head Coach) and Jazmine Cobb (Co Frosh Head Coach). “I feel like coaching varsity last season was a test run and this year is a real thing,” said Bulldogs coach Morgan Bolger.

Bolger stated that summer league games have really helped the Bulldogs with the team’s chemistry and expect big things from the team this season. Players to watch out for this season are seniors Carly Chapman (setter/opposite), Maddy Edwards (outside hitter), Briana “Bee” Barona (opposite), Arpa Khechadoorian (setter/opposite), Allie Foenander (outside hitter), junior Grace O’Connor (setter). Sophomores Nareh Pogosyan (outside/defensive specialist), Madi Yosh (middle blocker), and freshman Mayorie Lee (outside hitter) should be key underclassmen for the Bulldogs this season.
