Panorama improves to 5-0 to start off their season.
The Panorama Pythons defeated the Arleta Mustangs in four exciting sets, continuing their season-opening win streak. The Mustangs didn’t have an answer for the Python’s high scoring runs in the Arleta’s season opener.

The opening set began with two quick points for Panorama, scoring first on an Arleta attack error and again on net interference. Arleta scored on a Panorama service error to open the set 2-1. The Pythons then went on an impressive scoring run, including three kills by Elizah Flores and a block by Aleena Lopez to bring the set to 20-5. The Mustangs answered with three quick points before Panorama ultimately won the set with a block by Karla Moreira, ending with a final score of 25-8.
Arleta opened the second set with a 6 point run, led by high energy plays from Melanie Camacho and Angie Cardona. Aleena Lopez brought Panorama back into the game with two kills and a block. With the set tied at 10-10, the contest remained neck and neck until a late push from Arleta put them in position to take the set, including a kill from Vanessa Ramirez and multiple blocks. A Panorama service error gave Arleta the set at 21-25, tying the match at 1-1.

Nat Recinos brought new life to Panorama at the start of the third set, facilitating plays and energizing her teammates. Panorama opened with a 5 point run before Arleta got on the board with back to back Panorama errors and a kill from Monique De Nava. Panorama’s high scoring streak continued with three Teresa Nunez serves resulting in receiving errors. The set ended in a 25-15 Panorama victory, bringing the match score to 2-1.
The fourth set opened with a block from Arleta’s Angie Cardona and an ace from Panorama’s Aleena Lopez. The Mustangs attempted to force a fifth set, building momentum from a series of Panorama service errors and a kill from Maddi Rodriquez, but their run ended following a series of their own errors. Panorama held Arleta to 11 points in the final set, securing their third set win, 25-11, ending the match.

Both the Pythons and the Mustangs return to action with home games on August 28. Panorama will aim to continue their winning streak against Discovery Prep and the Mustangs aim to bounce back versus North Hollywood in their second match of the season.
