Burroughs continued its strong first quarter with a parade of points and led 27-8 over Arcadia to end the first quarter.

Both Burroughs and Arcadia trade baskets to start the second quarter. Fahs and Samantha Pape scored two-point shots for their respective teams. It was all Burroughs throughout the second quarter but the play of the night happened at the end of the second when Emma Wang nailed down a buzzer-beating two-point shot to help Arcadia put a 20 spot on the board heading into halftime.

Fahs recorded points on consecutive possessions to start the third quarter by making one of two shot attempts at the foul line along with a layup to increase the Lady Bear lead to 47-20. Quote of the week

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
