The Bulldogs Baseball team will begin the search for a new head coach to begin the post Hart era.

It is the end of an era for the longest tenured head coach in Burbank High athletics. Bob Hart and Burbank High School have mutually agreed to part ways as the head baseball coach of the Bulldogs moves on after 22 seasons.

This past season the Bulldogs went 3-15-1 overall and 3-10-1 in Hart’s final year as the baseball program’s head coach. Hart guided the Bulldogs to a Pacific League Title in 2013 and led them to 10 CIF Southern Section playoff appearances.

The next head coach of the program will be tasked to rebuild the program from the ground up which follows two losing seasons in 2025 and 2026.

Burbank High’s athletic administration team which includes athletic director Allison McKain, principal Steven Hubbell and the assistant principal of athletics and activities Jennifer Freemon will all play a part in finding a successor to Bob Hart for 2027 and beyond.

Players like Luca Kuiper, Casey Peters, and Carter Williamson are expected to be players to be on the lookout for in the 2027 season under the new head coach of the Burbank High baseball program.

“I’m so appreciative of Bob Hart’s tireless commitment to all of the student athletes at Burbank High School but at the same time we are going to move in a different direction.” said Allison McKain. McKain also expressed optimism that coach Hart will find another head baseball coaching job to continue developing student athletes.

The Burbank High School Baseball Program will spend most of the months of June and July to find their next leader of the team with the hope of getting someone in place well before the 2027 season begins.

Quote of the week

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
