4- Cleveland Cavaliers (6-4) Last Week: #5

The Cavaliers didnt miss a beat under first year Head Coach Mario Guzman and finished second in the West Valley. Do not be surprised if this resiliant bunch pulls the out the victory on the road at Bell this week.

5- Arleta Mustangs (7-3) Last Week: #8

The Mustangs regular season was a overshadowed by the insane run that North Hollywood had in winning the East Valley, but the Mustangs sit in prime position as the top seed in Division II heading into the postseason. They will host Jordan this afternoon in the first round.

6- Verdugo Hills Dons (7-3) Last Week: #4

The Dons had a resurgence this season that took them to a straight shot at the league title in the final week. It did not work out they way they wanted too, but this will be a confident bunch hosting Lincoln at home in the first round.

7- Sylmar Spartans (6-4) Last Week: #6

The Spartans enjoyed the week off after wrapping up the regualr season slate in Week Nine. They open the playoffs on the road in a Division II matchup against Legacy Friday night.

8- Grant Lancers (6-4) Last Week: #7

The Lancers were an up and down team all season, but the program is trending up at the end of the season, posting nice wins over Arleta and Poly to wrap up the season. They will host DMAC to open the postseason.

9- Van Nuys Wolves (6-4) Last Week: #9

The Wolves have a remarkable story in how the program has gone from bottom dwellers to a team with real postseason expectations. The future is bright for the Wolves and they have a real shot to advance when they host Contreras in their Division III first round matchup.

10- Chatsworth Chancellors (5-5) Last Week: N/A

Despite the turmoil surrounding the program in recent days, the Chancellors found a way to end the campaign on a high note with a victory over El Camino in the regualr season finale. They’ll have a tough one in the first round of the Division II playoffs when they face a familiar foe in San Fernando at home.

Quote of the week

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
