Amy Lopez and Ellianna Moreno both had clutch goals in both the 15th and 32nd minutes in the second half for Blair 

The Burbank Bulldogs suffer their first blown lead of the season in a draw with Blair behind two second-half goals by Amy Lopez and Elliana Moreno. Entering the match, Burbank was coming off a 6-3 win over Shalhevet back on Thursday, December 5th and Blair suffered a rough 2-0 loss to Eagle Rock on Friday, December 6th. 

Delilah Williams had a goal chance for Burbank to start the first half but the ball went wide left in the second minute of play. Sophia Leon also missed chances at goal in the 16th, 22nd, and 32nd minute of play, as one of the shots hit the goal post and went wide left. Gracie Gisel finally got Burbank on the board when she scored in the 34th minute of the first half. The Bulldogs led 1-0 at the halftime break over the Vikings with Blaire never having any real chances of scoring in half one. 

After missing three goal chances in the first half, Sophia Leon scored a penalty kick goal in the fourth minute of the second half to give Burbank a 2-0 lead over Blaire. Jocelyn Morgiana had a golden chance to give Burbank some insurance, but unfortunately, her shot attempt was saved off the goalie’s fingertips in the 15th minute of play in half-two. Amy Lopez got the Vikings on the board following Morgiana’s missed goal chance to put Blair within one. Elianna Moreno scored a game-tying goal in the 32nd minute of play to tie the score at two. 

Claire Tonkin of Blair racked up 7 saves and allowed two goals while Natalia Cortez didn’t record a save but also allowed two goals for Burbank. 

The Burbank Bulldogs fell to 4-0-1 while Blair is now  0-3-2. Blair will play the second of a back-to-back on Tuesday, December 10th with kickoff scheduled for 3:15 p.m. and Burbank will host Immaculate Heart on Wednesday, December 11th at 3:45 p.m.
