“It’s an amazing win over North Hollywood,” said Mark Martinez. “It helped us transition back into our normal schedule following winter break and we feel good about where we are as a team heading back into Pacific League play on Wednesday with Arcadia.”  Martinez added that Elkin and Seas’s goals in the first half were incredible and also said that both are guys that expect to score every game.”

“Even though we did not get the result that we wanted, we walked away with lots of positives,” said Huskies head coach Marco Oliva. “We adjusted well with Burroughs to end the first half.” Oliva also added that the Huskies are working on long term goals during a difficult season where they are now 5-9-2.

Burroughs, 4-5-1, will resume Pacific League play on Wednesday, January 7th when they host Arcadia at 3:45 p.m.. The North Hollywood Huskies will return to action next Monday, January 12th when they host East Valley at 4:00 p.m.

Quote of the week

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
